Horizontal Bitumen Storage Tank

CXTCM has been over 20 years since we started to design high temperature bitumen storage tank in the early 1990s. Because of different storage capacities, locations of tanks and types of bitumen stored, flexible designs will be provided to meet different requirements. Unit tank capacity could be 30T to 80T accordingly. With thermal oil heating system, the facility has advantage of quick-heating, temperature easy control, automatically operation, environment friendly and energy saving.

In the whole Bitumen heating System, a variety of bitumen can be stored in different tank, and the tanks are connected by bitumen pipelines, valves are controlled and switched, and the bitumen can be pumped from one tank to another when there is a problem with one tank.

Horizontal Bitumen Storage Tank Details

1- Two optional types

A range of sizes from 10T to 40T with optional type of round and square, multiple options for customers. Capacity from 10T to 40T can be put into 40’ high containers to ship. Avoid damage in transportation.

2- Pipelines, valves, pumps and other fittings

Layout of pipelines, valves and pumps is designed tidily. Tanks are fixed with thermometers and high level indicator to control bitumen temperature well and avoid overflow.

3- Insulation

Pipelines are wrapped by rock wool and covered by galvanized sheet or aluminum sheet to increase thermal retention and improve energy saving. Some pipelines insulation can be done in factory and connected easily with flanges at jobsite to shorten installation period.
