Technical Renovation for Quality Upgrade, Old Units Regain New Vitality-WUXI XUETAO & Maanshan Road

      Recently, Wuxi Xuetao has delivered solid results in the equipment technical renovation project for Maanshan Road & Bridge Company. Xuetao’s technical team carried out a green‑oriented upgrade on an existing 4000‑type virgin asphalt mixing plant commissioned in 2009. It has been successfully retrofitted into a 4000+2000 integrated eco‑friendly asphalt hot‑recycling mixing station, with fully‑revamped equipment performance and re‑released production capacity.

      Guided by the principles of revitalizing existing equipment, cutting capital investment and implementing green construction, this renovation retains the original strengths of the 4000‑type virgin mixing plant — stable operation, high efficiency and superior mix quality. New functions are added for reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) material recovery, heating and precise proportioning & mixing. Meanwhile, the intelligent control system is optimized to enable simultaneous production of virgin mix and recycled mix. Through system joint commissioning, process optimization and trial‑production verification, the complete unit features high system matching, stable operation, accurate temperature control and uniform proportioning, fully complying with current quality specifications for road engineering construction.

      At present, the 4000+2000 integrated eco‑friendly asphalt hot‑recycling mixing station has entered regular production with smooth and orderly operation. It has produced over 20,000 tons of qualified asphalt mixture, marking full practical outcomes of the technical renovation.

      This retrofitting project not only effectively unlocks equipment capacity and extends service life, but also greatly reduces consumption of new raw materials and solid‑waste disposal costs. It notably raises the recycling rate of reclaimed asphalt resources and delivers multiple benefits including cost reduction & efficiency improvement, energy conservation & carbon emission reduction, and green production. It provides solid, stable and eco‑friendly production capacity support for the company’s subsequent new‑road construction and road maintenance projects.
